I’m seeing a whole lot of flak towards deadmau5 for being featured on MTV. Nothing is more FRUSTRATING to me than hearing all of you hipster-I-knew-him-before-he-was-big, self absorbed, know it all’s who get pissed off when an artist increases in popularity and becomes featured on networks like MTV.
Here’s something you self-proclaimed music know it all’s must realize… This is exactly what electronic dance music needs. Recognition. And I would MUCH rather it be deadmau5 than any other piss-ant producer like Tiesto. Joel Zimmerman, DESERVES IT. Coming from a bedroom producer, it’s everyone’s dream to get to the level he has achieved. You fucking people are trying to take that from him, and I’ll be the first to tell you to fuck right off. Christ you people make me sick.
Just cause you can play guitar, and you have an extensive iTunes library, does not make you a connoisseur of music. You know nothing. You know nothing about the effort and time it takes to get to the level he has achieved. Or any artist for that matter. Just cause you make shitty techno in Fruity Loops you think you’ve got what it takes to step into that spotlight? Fuck off.
